Why I heartz the Interweb
As someone whose career focus is online marketing, I've been meaning to explore Facebook, which has been touted by many as the new frontier for the Interweb, for reasons too uninteresting to enumerate here. I had set up a profile a few months ago, and when I got onto the site on Sunday, I discovered that not one, but 3 'long lost' friends from my France period had found me. Considering my attempts to look them up online in the past were fruitless, I was pretty excited.
For that small victory alone I'm now a proponent of Facebook, even if the many side applications and mashups are nothing but an unproductive time-suck.
